Below is a list of opportunities to explore a career you may be interested in, volunteer, or even study abroad. These opportunities can boost your college application by adding unique experience, and you could meet potential references.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>IP\/PiPES Summer Programs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Experience life as a student at the University of Tennessee while also visiting science and engineering labs. Transportation and meals are provided during this three-day summer program. Applications will be available in your school in\u00a0February, and the program will be held in June. The camp is only open to students at our IP\/PiPES schools.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cehhs.utk.edu\/ip-pipes\/summer-camp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Design Matters! Camp<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Interested in architecture and design? This week-long camp offers high school students the opportunity to experience what it is like as a design student at the University of Tennessee. For an additional cost, students may stay overnight in a residence hall.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/archdesign.utk.edu\/news-events\/design-matters-camp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The University of Tennessee Kids U programs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Kids U provides a microbiology and forensic science summer camp for teens. These camps are held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Check the website for summer camp dates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cpell.utk.edu\/programs-courses\/kids-u-2024-summer-camps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>AIM \u2013 Accounting and Information Management Academy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Explore the different careers possible through accounting at this four-day residential program at the University of Tennessee. This program provides financial assistance, but students must have a 3.0+ GPA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/haslam.utk.edu\/diversity\/AIM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Engineering Volunteers for Tenth Graders <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">This is an opportunity for rising sophomores to spend a week exploring chemistry and engineering careers while staying in a residence hall at the University of Tennessee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/future-students\/pre-college\/evol10\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to learn more.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>High School Introduction to Engineering Systems for Twelfth Graders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">The Tickle College of Engineering provides an opportunity for rising seniors to explore engineering and campus life at the University of Tennessee. This is a week-long residential program, but there are some academic requirements to apply.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tickle.utk.edu\/future-students\/pre-college\/hites12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Business Education for Talented Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">BETS is a 10-day residential program at the University of Tennessee that provides students with the opportunity to explore the various fields of business. This program provides financial assistance for students with a 3.0+ GPA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/haslam.utk.edu\/diversity\/BETS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Tremont offers three different camp experiences for ages 13-17, but all of them include being surrounded by nature while also learning about the environment. These camps are one week long and offered at different times throughout June and July.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gsmit.org\/SummerYouth.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ciee \u2013 High School Study Abroad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Step far outside your comfort zone this summer by choosing from the diverse programs that Ciee has to offer. You can gain college credits or international community service hours while exploring the world.
