This April, Associate Professor and Evaluation Methodology Master’s Program Coordinator within ELPS Louis Rocconi, PhD<\/a>, was recognized and awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award at the Spring 2026 Academic Honors Banquet<\/a> hosted by University of Tennessee, Knoxville Provost John Zomchick<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards highlight individuals embodying the Volunteer spirit through extraordinary research and creative activity, impactful contributions to campus life, and leadership and service to the university and beyond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am honored to receive the Excellence in Teaching Award at the Provost\u2019s Academic Honors Banquet. I am incredibly lucky to be surrounded by wonderful students who inspire, encourage, and challenge me every day,” said Rocconi. “I am also grateful to be in a college and department that value teaching, and to work alongside outstanding colleagues and mentors who have shown me what it means to be a great scholar and teacher.”
