The program&#8217;s mission is to prepare graduate students for work serving others in higher education or related services. This council presents an amazing opportunity for graduate students to take on a leadership role in preparation for their future careers in the field!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>The Student Affairs and Higher Education (SAHE) program&#8217;s Executive Council currently consists of the following: <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Ethney Dosenbach, President<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plan and facilitating regular SAHEA executive and group meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the organizational email account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet continuously with the program coordinator to ensure effective and efficient programming and partnering within the program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as the chair for the Graduate Hooding Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as first student appointment to any University of Tennessee committees with intersecting interests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as an aid to all other executive team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Maiben Mitchell, Vice President of Recruitment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate recruitment programming for prospective students&nbsp;(Recruitment Weekend, Prospective Student Panel, Faculty and Current Student Panel, New Student Meet &amp; Greet, etc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as the chair for the Recruitment Weekend Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as one of the SAHEA student representatives on the Recruitment weekend planning committee&nbsp;alongside professional staff within the Division of Student Life<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as a point of contact for students interested in the SAHE program by providing&nbsp;resources and connecting them to current students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as an aide to all other executive team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Liyah King, Vice President of Community Development <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plan social events each semester<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advise social programming coming out of committees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan end of semester social celebration for the graduating cohort<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate graduate reception at SAHE Hooding for graduates and their families.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate the SAHE peer mentoring program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as the chair of the Social Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as an aid to all other executive team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Zach Aaron, Vice President of Communications <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain and update all SAHEA social media accounts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist the SAHEA program with updating the SAHEA portion of the SAHE Website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create or coordinate all communications for programming (e.g., Interview Weekend, Visit Days, workshops, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as the chair for the Communications Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as an aid to all other executive team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Timothy Nesmith, Vice President of Finance and Membership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain and present on the budget for the organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect dues and any other monies necessary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain the appropriate records for membership status including a database of members that should be updated semesterly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide information to all members of SAHEA university funding resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsible for coordinating SAHEA purchases&nbsp;and reimbursing people in a timely manner&nbsp;(e.g., materials, programming, swag)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create one fundraising opportunity per semester&nbsp;that members can participate in<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as an aid to all other executive team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Vacant, Vice President of Undergraduate Relations <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serve as the advisor for the student organization for undergraduate students interested in a career in Student Affairs upon graduation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate efforts between the Division of Student Life and NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) to recruit and market to members.\u00a0Specifically recruit VSA members by leveraging SAHE cohorts\u2019 assistantships.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist members in locating information, mentors, and valuable resources regarding graduate programs and the profession of student affairs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate partnership opportunities between SAHEA (e.g., Careers in Student Affairs Month in October).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide resource guides and application timelines to undergraduate student leaders looking into Master\u2019s Programs, SAHE, and otherwise.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate opportunities for undergraduate students interested in student affairs to participate and engage with regional and national conferences (SAACURH, NACURH, SEAHO, TACUHO, SACSA, NASPA, ACPA, etc).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as the chair of the Undergraduate Relations Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as an aid to all other executive team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Vacant, Vice President of Alumni Relations <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Compile alumni accolades, internships, &amp;
