Welcome to the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS)
at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

For over 60 years, ELPS has prepared talented and passionate individuals to take on leadership roles in schools, colleges, and other organizations. Education plays a crucial role in fostering social mobility and reducing longstanding inequities in American society. Our graduates are at the forefront of addressing these challenging problems through their roles leading educational organizations and conducting cutting-edge research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our department offers\u00a0graduate programs<\/a>\u00a0in adult and continuing education, educational administration, evaluation, statistics, and methodology, and higher education. Several of our degrees\u00a0can be completed fully online<\/a>\u00a0to support working professionals. We also offer\u00a0an undergraduate minor in Leadership Studies<\/a>\u00a0for students interested in honing their leadership skills before graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ELPS courses are taught by world-class faculty<\/a> who are at the forefront of tackling key societal challenges and are supported by outstanding staff members.<\/a> Our faculty include leading scholars and practitioners in their areas of study who are dedicated teachers and mentors. ELPS also hosts the Education Research and Opportunity Center <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
