This annual event is designed to celebrate young children, early learning, teachers, and families. Classrooms across the ELC are celebrating in different ways. In some classrooms, families are writing notes to their children, teachers are sharing memories and stories about children with families, and special events are happening to tie in with the daily themes from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naeyc.org\/woyc\">National Association for the Education of Young Children.<\/a> It\u2019s a great feeling to join in with the broader early learning community to celebrate our young learners and connect with others doing similar work.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the week we will be sharing happenings from around the ELC here on our Facebook page and also on Instagram, so stay tuned for that! We would love to hear how you are celebrating at your center or in your homes. Tell us about it in the comments!<\/p>\n<p>Since today is <a class=\"_58cn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/tacotuesday?source=note\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#tacotuesday<\/a>, we thought we would share a little about our food program here at the ELC. Even our youngest children participate in family style meals and learn to serve themselves.<\/p><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"_2cuy _50a1 _2vxa\">Recipes from Chef George: Fish Tacos and Beef Orzo with Feta<\/h3>\n<div class=\"_2cuy _3dgx _2vxa\">We are SO fortunate to have such creative menu items available. Our children experience a variety of tastes and textures throughout the week, so we chose two to share for <a class=\"_58cn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/tacotuesday?source=note\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#tacotuesday<\/a>! One is, of course, a taco recipe and the other is a newer menu item that is just incredible. Thanks to George and Jen, our White Avenue cook, for helping get these recipes together!
