Sandy joined the Center in December 2022 as an Early Childhood Regional Access Coach for the Access For All Learning Network with the TN Department of Education in the Middle Tennessee region. Prior to coming to UT, Sandy served 33 years in the Fentress County School System in various roles ranging from classroom general education and special education teacher to PreK/Special Education Director. Her duties also included center director for Tennessee Early Intervention System. Sandy holds an MS in Consumer Science and Child Care Services, an MA in Early Childhood Special Education and an EDS in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech University.
