Andrea Poehl
PDG CLASS/Coaching Coordinator
Andrea joined the Center for Learning, Education, and Employment (CLEE) in February 2026 as the PDG CLASS Coordinator, supporting the Tennessee Department of Education’s early learning division. Before joining CLEE, Andrea spent over 20 years working in early childhood education, including roles in Head Start program leadership, instructional coaching, and large-scale professional development. She has served as a CLASS reliable observer since 2011, conducting observations, training, and coaching for programs across nearly 30 states. She also serves as a strategic consultant and trainer with Whole Child Initiative, supporting programs in building cultures of connection and dignity for both children and the adults who serve them.
Andrea is guided by a belief that meaningful change in early childhood happens through genuine connection, not compliance. She brings a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to everything she does, and is passionate about creating spaces where educators feel supported, and equipped to do their best work.
In her free time, Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband and twins, both of whom will soon be attending her alma mater, Texas A&M University. Andrea earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, EC through 6th Grade, from Texas A&M, so the Aggie tradition continues.
