Our new department is Counseling, Human Development and Family Science (CHDFS)!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We are transitioning from a major in Child and Family Studies \u2013 Community Outreach track to a major in Human Development and Family Science (HDFS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We are transitioning from graduate degrees in Child and Family Studies to graduate degrees in Human Development and Family Science (HDFS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instead of registering for CFS courses, students will register for HDFS courses. The courses and course numbers are the same. DARS will recognize both.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will honor academic plans and graduation timelines for all current students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our faculty members are still here, and we&#8217;re happy to continue teaching and supporting our students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We still belong to CEHHS, and you retain the same academic advisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our former Child and Family Studies Teacher Licensure programs have moved to the <a href=\"https:\/\/tpte.utk.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education<\/a>.
