All learning will take place online, asynchronously via Canvas Catalog at a time that works for you.<\/p>\n<p>UT-PLAYS is an affordable, accessible program that focuses on teacher licensure. This program does not lead to a degree, however successful completion of UT-PLAYS coursework qualifies participants to transfer six (6) credit hours into a master\u2019s or EdS program via low-cost proficiency exam process.<\/p>\n<p>For detailed information about the programs please visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/utk.edu\/ut-plays-special-education\/home\">UT-PLAYS website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For UT-PLAYS application information, click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/airtable.com\/appGj6DfRdHxttXsV\/pag2mw9SZOiRI2zDO\/form\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Program Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>UT-PLAYS offers options for both initial teacher licensure (for those who want to become teachers) as well as additional credentials for existing teachers.<\/p>\n<h4>Initial Licensure<\/h4>\n<p>UT-PLAYS initial licensure programs are open to individuals with a 4-year degree and a desire to become K-12 educators.\u00a0 There are two pathways to initial licensure: Apprenticeship and Job Embedded. The cost of the job-embedded pathway is $2500 for a year subscription.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Additional Endorsements<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>UT-PLAYS additional endorsement programs are open to any Tennessee educator who (a) holds an active academic teaching license in the state of TN and (b) is currently employed by a TN school system. The cost of the program is $1250 for a year subscription.<\/p>\n<h5>Endorsements Offered for Initial Licensure and Additional Endorsements<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Special Education\n<ul>\n<li>Interventionist K-8<\/li>\n<li>Interventionist 6-12<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive K-12<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Mathematics\n<ul>\n<li>Middle Grades 6-8, 6-10<\/li>\n<li>Secondary Grades 6-12<\/li>\n<li>Algebra I Employment Standard<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>Limited Licensure Advancement<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>If you are a teacher currently with limited licensure, UT PLAYS offers a coursework package required by the Tennessee Department of Education to transition your Limited Licensure to Practitioner Licensure. The cost of the program is $650 for an annual subscription.
