Our additional endorsement programs are state approved (Tennessee Department of Education) and nationally accredited through CAEP (Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation). <span style=\"background-color: #ffffff\">Here<\/span> is a list of additional endorsement areas the University of Tennessee currently offers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>American Sign Language, PreK-12<\/li>\n<li>Early Development and Learning PreK-K<\/li>\n<li>Elementary Education, K\u20135<\/li>\n<li>English as a Second Language PreK-12<\/li>\n<li>Middle Grades, Math and Science, 6\u20138<\/li>\n<li>Music Education, K\u201312<\/li>\n<li>Secondary Education, 6\u201312<\/li>\n<li>Special Education: Interventionist and Comprehensive<\/li>\n<li>Special Education: Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, PreK\u201312<\/li>\n<li>Special Education: Gifted, K-12<\/li>\n<li>Visual Arts, K\u201312<\/li>\n<li>Vocational Agriculture\/Agriscience, 7\u201312<\/li>\n<li>World Language Education, K-12<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>UT received grant funding to support teachers who wish to add an additional endorsement in Special Education or Mathematics.\u00a0 Please read the <a href=\"https:\/\/gse.utk.edu\/2021\/07\/02\/cehhs-receives-over-2-8-million-in-grant-funding-to-support-educational-priorities\/\">linked article<\/a> and fill out the form at the bottom of the article if you are interested in receiving more information.<\/p>\n<h3>Additional Endorsement Areas<\/h3>\n<h4>(Requires additional work at the graduate level)<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Beginning Administrator, K\u201312<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sis.utk.edu\/graduate-programs\/school-library-media-licensure\">School Librarian<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Professional Administrator (PAL)<\/li>\n<li>Reading Specialist, PreK\u201312<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/web.utk.edu\/~edpsych\/school_counseling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">School Counselor, PreK\u201312<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/web.utk.edu\/~edpsych\/school_psychology\/default.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">School Psychologist, PreK\u201312<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.csw.utk.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">School Social Worker<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uthsc.edu\/allied\/asp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Special Education: Speech\/Language, PreK\u201312<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The college works collaboratively with departments for additional endorsements in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sis.utk.edu\/programs\/licensure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">library information specialist<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.music.utk.edu\/ugrad\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">music education<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csw.utk.edu\/students\/licensure.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">school social worker<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/aee.tennessee.edu\/default.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">agriculture education<\/a>.
