Two CEHHS Alumni Honored at Alumni Awards

The College of Education, Health, and Human (CEHHS) has two amazing alumni recently recognized by the university at the Alumni Awards and 225th Anniversary Gala held on September 6, 2019. The awards, which began in 2008, are presented to recipients chosen by the Alumni Board of Directors after careful review of nominations in the categories of Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna, Alumni Professional Achievement, Alumni Service and Alumni Promise.

Keith CarverThe College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences is proud to share that Keith Carver, Jr. (’95 & ’09), was presented a Professional Achievement Award.  This award recognizes alumni who have achieved a high level of success in their chosen field.  The trademark of this recipient is a record of notable career accomplishments and a history of outstanding contributions to their profession.  The award is presented to acknowledge their success, which brings honor and credit to the University of Tennessee and our college. Carver completed his MS in college education (’95) and his PhD in higher administration (’09), both through CEHHS.

Joe JohnsonCEHHS is also proud to share that President Emeritus, Joe Johnson, received a Distinguished Alumnus Award. Johnson, who was UT President from 1990-1999, completed his MA in public administration (’60) and his EdD in higher education and industrial management (’68) from UT and is one of UT’s 100 Distinguished Alumni.   Hie continues to serve the university and the community through numerous organizations.
