CEHHS Areas to Receive Upgrades From UT Facilities Volunteers First Impressions Competition

The College of Education, Health and Human Sciences, along with all other areas of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, campus were presented with an opportunity to participate in the Facilities Volunteers First Impressions Competition.  The competition encouraged nominations from faculty, staff and students of ideas of public space areas for renovation on campus.

Two such nominations from our college were accepted and among the final twelve chosen out of several submitted.  Our first winners submitted ideas for upgrades in the Jessie Harris building.  Michelle Childs, Lucy Simpson & Anne Fairhurst of Retail, Hospitality and Tourism Management, suggested updating the main hallway for better utilization for students.  Our second winner was Danielle Johnson on behalf of the Kinesiology, Recreation and Sport Studies department.  Their suggestion is for improved lighting in the breezeway of the HPER building.

A full listing of winners and the improvements to occur can be found here.  Congratulations to our winners for their creative suggestions and congratulations to CEHHS, as we all will be able to enjoy the improvements.
