Students are encouraged to complete an internship in their major before graduating to gain those practical on the job skills every employer looks for during an interview. Ashley Sullivan, (back row, fourth from left) a senior studying Retail Consumer Sciences through the Department of Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism Management, had the opportunity to complete her internship where every fashion conscious student would only dream of!
Sullivan, through the generosity of IMG College Licensing and her internship at UT’s Office of Trademark Licensing, attended New York Fashion Week. Opportunities during her time there included attending runway shows, a behind the scenes look of the event, touring stores and interacting with retail executives and designers.
