The College of Education, Health and Human Sciences (CEHHS) congratulates our top two graduates for Summer and Fall, 2018.
Sonja Lipman is a Department of Child and Family Studies major who completed her program during the Summer, 2018. During her internship with the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Volunteer Services, Sonja enjoyed her patient interaction; the ability to service patients and their families through their child life programs, HABIT programs, and others. Her greatest joy was being able to put a smile on the faces of the patients and their families that she worked with through this opportunity.
In regard to her experience at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Sonja explained, “I discovered intellectual curiosity should not be confined to the classroom. I was motivated by my professors to learn more about the things I care about and explore the world!”
Sonja aspires to become a pediatric physician and give back to the community that made her the woman she is today.
Nasir Notta is a Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies major who completed the Kinesiology program during Fall, 2018. Nasir plans to pursue his goals of attending medical school, where he hopes to gain the skills to someday become an Emergency Room Doctor or Team Physician. Nasir completed his Community Engagement at the Ismaili Center, Knoxville where he worked with kids after school on a sports and exercise program.
In regard to his experience at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Nasir explained, “The most valuable lesson I have learned as a student at UT is that being a student is a life-long journey. No matter where you end up in life, there is always room to grow and learn more!”
