The CEHHS Faculty, staff, students and alumni continue to shine in CEHHS while others leave us with precious memories!

Jimmy Cheek, Director, Postsecondary Education Research Center, Distinguished Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, and Chancellor Emeritus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) is being honored by his alma mater.

In Memoriam: Thomas George, Professor Emeritus and Former Associate Dean, CEHHS, passed away at his home in Knoxville on October 18, 2018. George retired in 2012 after 39 years in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.

The Center for Educational Leadership was recognized with the 2018 National Rural Education Association Exemplary Practices Award.

The Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education held their 5th Annual Recognition Ceremony on October 11, 2018 at the University of Tennessee Visitor’s Center .

The 2018 Student Awards Celebration was held on Tuesday, October 16, to honor outstanding students who were recipients of many awards, fellowships, endowments, and scholarships.

Jennifer Russomano was just named as one of Knoxville’s “Top 40 Under 40;” a woman who has taken her career from filmmaking to farm fresh. Learn about Jennifer’s journey and her goal to make farm fresh vegetables available to our WIC communities.

In Memoriam: Patsy Boroviak, Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies. Patsy Crockett Boroviak, retiree after 42 years with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, passed away on October 6, 2018 after suffering a stroke earlier in the year.
