The Early Learning Center (ELC) in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences has been working for over a year to earn the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation. And it was a successful pursuit!
In order to qualify, early education programs must meet the NAEYC 10 standards for high-quality early education, demonstrate that they provide a safe and healthy environment for children, have well-trained educators, utilize excellent teaching materials, and work with a curriculum that is appropriately challenging and developmentally sound.
Join us in celebrating their new NAEYC accreditation and the quality of education offered through the ELC; a quality care and learning environment for young children, pre-service teachers in our Department of Child and Family Studies, and teacher educators.
