The David T. Bailey Graduate School of Education located in the College of Education, Health and Human Services would like to extend the invitation to join us for the Bailey Lecture Series.
The lecture series will host Samuel L. Odom, PhD, UNC, Chapel Hill and San Diego University who began his career in Special Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the 1970’s. In his talk, “Running With the Wolves in Special Education: Reflections on the Field and a Career,” Odom will discuss the remarkable evolution of the field special education and services for children and youth with disabilities over the past half century. He will describe the importance of conducting school-based research that supplies evidence for effective practices and educational policy. He will also speculate on future directions for the field.
The event will be held in the UT Visitors Center. Reception begins at 5 P.M. with Lecture at 6 P.M. Please join us for this event.
