Grant Received to Provide Veterinary Care for Underserved Families

The College of Education, Health and Human Sciences (CEHHS) has researchers working with a new grant in the College of Social Work.  The Program for Pet Health Equity was just awarded a $2.8 million grant from Maddie’s Fund to support research and development of AlignCare, a health care system designed to improve access to veterinary care for underserved families.

CEHHS students majoring in Veterinary Public Health will work along side students from the College of Social Work, the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research in the Haslam College of Business, and the College of Veterinary Medicine.  Their work will affect millions of pets and their people.
