The tragic event that occurred only three week ago in the life of Nicole Hughes, College of Education, Health and Human Sciences alumna, is beyond comprehension; we just don’t think it will happen.
Even being as aware of the potential of drowning as most parents are, the tragedy unfortunately did happened. “Why? Why didn’t I know? Why didn’t I realize?” These are all questions that Nicole asked herself. But instead of sitting quietly, Nicole has taken her emotions and funneled them into an idea to educate and hopefully prevent others from the tragedy that has affected her family’s life.
