Research Team from RHTM Receive Best Paper Award at AAFCS Confernece

The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences congratulates Ms. Chung-Wha Ki, PhD student and Dr. Youn-Kyung (Lydia) Kim, from the Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism department, chosen to receive the Best Paper Award at the 108th Annual American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) Conference.

The title of the winning paper in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising was “Sustainable versus Conspicuous Luxury Fashion Purchase: Applying Self-Determination Theory.”  The paper was published in the March 2016 issue of the Family & Consumer Sciences Research Journal, Volume 44, Issue 3, pages 309-323.
