When students from the Deaf Education Program in the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education hear the name Brenda Stephenson, many things come to mind. Great teacher, dedicated, fair, amazing, and the list goes on. But if you ask her daughter Rachel Simmons, she has nothing but the utmost respect for her.
Brenda and her daughter Rachel are both deaf education teachers. And to make it more interesting, Rachel had her mother as an instructor.
