Child & Family Studies Hosts Public Presentation & Discussion on Bullying

Bullying is an issue that occurs way too often in today’s society.    How can it be stopped?

Join the Department of Child and Family Studies as they host a public presentation and discussion on bullying. Visiting Scholar, Dieter Wolke, Dipl. Psych, PhD will be the speaker at the event.  Wolke is a professor from Warwick University, one of the leading universities in the UK.  He is also the 2014 winner of the Research and Impact Engagement Award from Warwick.  Wolke’s research interests include social and emotional development, especially school and sibling bullying.

Join CFS for this event in the Min Kao Engineering building, April 26th, 6:00-8:00 P.M.  A reception, beginning at 5:30 P.M., will be held in the Student lounge of the building (Room 646/647) and the patio areas followed by the presentation in room 622.  The event is free and parking will be available in the adjacent 11th Street parking garage (first come/first serve) in Staff Lot 7 only. You can then access the building by a walking bridge across Cumberland Avenue.

Here’s a printable flyer for posting in your area.  Here’s also a write up in the Tennessee Today online news featuring the event.
