KRSSS Student, Chelsea Blaase, Qualifies for Olympic Trials

 
The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences has a student who’s having fun while enhancing lives of others; what our college is all about! Chelsea Blaase, Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sports Studies major, has qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials.  Chelsea set a school record which automatically qualified her in the 10,000 meters at the Standford Invitational in Stanford, California. Chelsea’s recorded time for the 10,000  meters was 32 minutes, 8.39 seconds for the event.  This time beats her previous best time by 20 seconds and she finished in seventh place.

Chelsea is a senior cross country runner, winning many awards throughout her career.  This video, produced by UT Sports TV, shares Chelsea’s story. She will be one to watch in the future!
