Congratulations to Dorian McCoy, assistant professor in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, for being chosen as University of Tennessee, Knoxville Quest Scholar of the week. Dorian focuses his research on the experiences of people of color in higher education; specifically the socialization and transitional experiences of faculty, administrators, and graduate students from historically underrepresented groups.
Dorian also serves as co-director for the UT Project GRAD Summer Institute which is designed to provide a unique opportunity for pre-college students to participate and gain experience in an academic setting. The institute includes exposure to the academic expectations of college and the personal dimensions needed to succeed as a college student.
The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences congratulations Dorian for this honor! Read more about Dorian’s award in the Quest newsletter.
