The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences has a beautiful addition to the landscaping, right outside our own back door!
The Claxton Rain Garden, a 3,500 square foot space filled with more than 2,000 plants has been added behind the Bailey Education Complex. What was once a muddy, mucky mess whenever it rained heavily has become a beautiful rain garden which is multifunctional. The rain garden will assist in capturing and filtering polluted stormwater while adding beauty to a previously muddy, unappealing area of our grounds. The garden was made possible through a Green Development grant from the State of Tennessee and the Student Environmental Initiatives Fee (Green Fee).
