The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences’ Center for Sport, Peace and Society, along with the Department of Athletics and the Division of Student Life are partnered together for a common goal; to span the boundaries of three different areas of campus for the development of student-athletes in a new Voleaders Academy.
Students in each of these departments will work together in this innovative program and experience a unique growth and development opportunity. These students will engage in a 10 day cultural exchange during the first trip planned for Brazil, the site of the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, during which they will experience international learning opportunities and the ways that leadership learned through sport can possibly transform communities and societies at large.
