The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences has a new group of students! Well, maybe we should say future students!
The CEHHS Staff Advisory Board, a part of Dean Rider’s strategic plan, provides the staff community engagement and service learning opportunities. As the board’s first step, a partnership with the South Knoxville Boys and Girls Club, a new club in their organization, was established.
Our partnership initiative consisted of assisting with their first holiday party. On December 19th, several members of the advisory board, armed with a generous amount of donations from the college and ready to contribute manpower, enjoyed the holiday party with the children. The board helped with games and the party overall. The members had a great time during the event and the kids an even better one!
