Vision Statement
Our vision for the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee is to be nationally and internationally recognized for our rich academic programs, highly qualified faculty and staff, and diverse and academically talented student population. The collective vision of our students, faculty, staff, and administration is one that aspires to build on this reputation and to achieve extraordinary results in the areas of learning, research, outreach, diversity, and enrichment of quality of life. We seek to be leaders in teacher education through our innovative programs for the preparation of educators and administrators across the lifespan. We will pursue excellence in the area of health and human sciences to prepare students for a vast array of meaningful and contributing careers. We will focus on research initiatives that support our efforts to enhance the quality of life for our constituents. We will model leadership and integrity as we provide students with the skills they need for careers in an increasingly diverse and technologically enhanced society. We will seek opportunities for ongoing engagement with the global community we serve and with the schools and industries that employ our graduates. Further, we will pursue the resources that are necessary to provide for increased learning, scholarship, and creative activity for both faculty and students.
