President's Message

Greetings colleagues! As I shared in the Convocation, we have chosen one of the few occupations that have significant input into decisions that affect us built into our governance structure. According to the CEHHS By-laws, “The College Senate (CS) serves as an advocate of and voice for the faculty in matters that affect the academy of the College, including faculty affairs, policies, and procedures”. Additionally, “The CS helps to create, maintain, and protect an environment that allows faculty to accomplish their assigned responsibilities”.

To this end, your elected College Senators represent your voice. We are each charged with the responsibility of sharing information, gathering input, and ensuring your perspective is taken under consideration in decisions that impact us, both directly and indirectly. I sincerely hope you will bring matters of interest and concern to your respective senators, so we may adequately represent the faculty in the College as a collective body. I truly believe that we can only affect positive change in the College, when we are actively engaged in the decision-making process!
