The Educators Hall of Honor
The Hall of Honor praises professionals who already have established themselves in the field of Education and helps students who one day will follow in their footsteps. The hall is open to any professional in the United States, and members have come throughout Tennessee and the nation. Those honored have been teachers from elementary school to the college ranks.

Plaques in the Educators Hall of Honor are engraved with the
names of teachers and other educators who have had a profound impact on the
lives of students and their professional colleagues. The plaques line the hall
of Claxton Complex, beginning at the Dean’s suite and continuing down the hall
toward Bailey Education Complex and in the hallway on the next floor. |
Candidates may be nominated in three different categories:
- An individual educator (at any level) or a person working
in an education-related profession who has made or is making an outstanding
contribution to the field
- An individual who is not considered an educator, but who is
making or has made a highly significant impact on the field of education
- A group, organization, or school that is making or has made a
significant impact on student learning or success or that has made a highly unusual
contribution to scholarship funds for deserving or at-risk-students.
