Isabel C. Farrell Awarded $20,000 Counseling Fellowship From NBCC and Affiliates

The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences congratulates Isabel C. Farrell, recipient of a $20,000 Counseling Fellowship from the National Board for Certified Counselors, NBCC Foundation and Affiliates, to be used for funding and training in support of her education and to facilitate her service to underserved minority populations.  Farrell, a graduate of Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is currently a doctoral student in the counselor education program in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling.  She is a graduate research assistant and has a special focus on grief and loss experiences.

The NBCC Foundation is an affiliate of the National Board for Certified Counselors with a goal to strengthen the infrastructure that engages diverse individuals in counseling and increases the number of professional counselors providing effective, culturally competent services to underserved populations.
