Kira Toussaint

KRSS Junior, Kira Toussaint, Qualifies for the Rio 2016 Olympics

The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences will be watching the Rio 2016 Olympics closely this year.  Why you may ask?  Because we have more than one of our own competing.

Kira Toussaint, a junior in Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sports Studies, has qualified to compete in the Olympics while still competing as an active member of the University of Tennessee Swim Team.  Kira has already won the 2016 Dutch Championship in 100-meter backstroke.  Read more about Kira and her qualifying for the event.  Enjoy this video featuring Kira in her qualification round.

And don’t forget, we also have Chelsea Blaase who is competing in the Olympic trials.

CEHHS wishes both of these young ladies the best of luck!  Your college will be cheering you on!
