CEHHS Congratulates Whitney Reed; 2016 Recipient of the Claxton Medallion Fellowship Award

The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences congratulates Whitney Reed, 2016 recipient of the Claxton Medallion Fellowship Award.  Whitney, a Child and Family Studies major, was presented the award at the Dean’s Board of Advisors Spring Meeting.

The Claxton Medallion Fellowship Award is presented each year to the most deserving graduate entering a fifth-year internship in the college.  The tradition includes the presentation of a bronze medallion inscribed with the recipient’s name and bearing the likeness of Dr. Philander P. Claxton for which our college is named.  Also in honor of Mr. Claxton, the award includes $5,000 annually to positively impact the lives of future educators.
