Featured in the Spring, 2016 edition of Torchbearer, VOLeaders is a partnership between Athletics, Center for Leadership and Service and the Center for Sport, Peace, and Society. It is a one of a kind program that combines academics, athletics, and student life while using their passion for sports to create a positive change within their team, campus and local and global communities.
To become a part of VOLeaders, students are nominated by their coaches and apply through the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. The result; they get the opportunity to serve as academy mentors and learn leadership traits unique to the program.
