Jennifer Russomanno, Public Health Education, Receives Student Award

Congratulations to Jennifer Russomanno, graduate student in the Department of Public Health for receiving the Public Health Education and Health Promotion (PHEHP) award from the American Public Health Association (APHA).  As one of only ten student recipients across the country each year, this award allows Jennifer to present her research on Farmer’s Market Uptake of Food Assistance Programs in East Tennessee at the upcoming APHA meeting in Chicago.

Jennifer is pursuing a dual degree with the Department of Nutrition and the Department of Public Health. She  is featured in our Fall, 2015 edition of the college magazine, Accolades, as a Student To Watch. Read more about Jennifer’s research addressing the lack of farmers’ markets in East Tennessee that are approved to accept SNAP in the Accolades article.
