FUTURE Program Offers Options for Some Students With Intellectual Disabilities

The University of Tennessee’s FUTURE Program is a comprehensive transition program for unique learners, highly motivated young adults whose disability is characterized by significant limitations in both intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior. FUTURE students typically received special education services while in high school, graduating with either a regular diploma or a special diploma.

Enjoy this video and share an inside look from some of the current students in the FUTURE Program.  Hear from our dean, Bob Rider, about the benefits that the FUTURE students receive from this program as well as the reciprocal benefits the students of the University of Tennessee campus receive in return.
